Exactly the same error. Incredibly frustrating. Reinstalled windows again... and again. Re-installed all redist'. .net, graphic drivers, ran chkdisk, reinstalled dx... No joy. Seemingly, it would appear this has only come around since the latest hotfix was released. Either that or coincidence, could be either!
